Long-time knowledgeable Philadelphia resident with an obsessive love of its homes, neighborhoods, and quirks. Former teacher with a warm, educational and direct communication style. Creative problem solver and visual thinker with an extensive art and design background.
You have a day off in Philly. What do you do?
One of my favorite aspects of Philly living is the availability of unique and fun "pop up" events or attractions. Whether there's a giant sea monster sculpture poking out of a random warehouse at the Navy Yard, a temporary beer garden in a neighborhood park, or a ghost ship, ice skating, hammocks, art installations or anything else at the riverfront, you can find something completely unique, creative and delightfully Philadelphian to do any day of the year. I'd hunt for the latest cool thing to go see or do while simultaneously creating a little tour of the best snacks and food options in whatever neighborhood I'm in. Name a neighborhood and I can probably give you an idea of somewhere to go for something delicious to eat wherever you are.
What's the architectural detail your eye always gravitates towards?
Give me a decorative cornice on a classic Philly row any old day.
Favorite community organization.
Fleisher Art Memorial — it's the country's oldest non profit community art school. This is maybe one of my favorite places on Earth. I taught here for many years and was even married in the school's Sanctuary. Fleisher offers art classes to people of all ages and skill levels. It is a beautiful place to visit and a wonderful place to meet people and learn something new.
What differentiates you within real estate?
I have lived in Philadelphia and explored its many quirky little streets, homes, neighborhoods, and things to do for over 20 years.
My unique brand of relatable real estate can offer you an approachable and trustworthy partnership, transparent communication, education and clarity so you can feel confident in your decisions.
One last thing...
My background in education allows me to simplify a complicated process. My background in art and design gives me an eye for detail, potential, and strong problem solving skills. And, my background in small business ownership (Mew Gallery & Lume Creative Learning Studios) gives me the ability to manage, juggle, and oversee all the little details that go into a big deal situation.
