Summarize yourself in a tweet.
I am straightforward, hard working, dedicated, and I absolutely love what I do. It is important to me that my clients feel supported through the process of buying, selling, or investing. I educate, advocate, and clearly communicate to my clients, all with a good sense of humor and positivity.
What's your favorite client story?
My Clients were in search of their first home in South Philadelphia. We spent a few months working together, during which I really got to understand their needs. I showed them a house that they immediately fell in love with, bought and lived in for several years. When their careers led them outside the city, they came back to me to continue our relationship. We found an amazing mid-century modern home in the woods of Media, PA. Because we connected well and they had such a positive experience, over the years, they have recommended me to many of their friends, for whom I am proud to say I have also found amazing homes. The connection I build with my clients is the most rewarding aspect of my career.
You have a day off in Philly. What do you do?
On recent day off, my partner and I decided to approach the city as if it were all new to us. We started our day in Passyunk Square, grabbing Bahn mi and coffee, as we made our way to Center City. A tour of the observation deck at the top of City Hall's tower gave us an incredible view of the city. Across the streeet, we toured the Masonic Temple, which was breathtakingly beautiful and seriously inspiring. We then decided to have lunch in LOVE park. Afterwards, we took in some art at the PAFA museum, before heading south for the sea monster warehouse art installation in the Navy Yard. We finished this amazing day with dinner at Vedge, and a visit to Hop Sign Laundromat for a cocktail. So often, we walk and drive through our city with such a rushed energy. It was nice to take the the time to appreciate Philadelphia in a different way. I am grateful for this memory, and look forward to discovering and sharing so many other beautiful moments in Philadelphia.
What's the architectural detail your eye always gravitates towards?
I have a special love for Victorian architecture. It has always caught my eye and warmed my heart. Some second favorites include 1920's inlayed floors, a strong 1960's front door, and I'll always have a sweet spot for a good a grandma house.
Favorite community organization.
Hands down, the Newbold Community Development Corporation. It has been an honor to serve as Vice President of the Newbold CDC. Over the years, I have worked alongside some truly amazing and inspiring people, toward a shared goal of building up the community that we all love. Being a part of an organization like this has become a very rewarding part of my life and contributed so much to the sense of community that is so important to me. Our annual events are probably my favorite part, particularly the South Philly Sausage Fest. It has been so much fun to see the event grow, celebrate, and raise money for our ever growing and changing, vibrant community!
What differentiates you within real estate?
I don't see a Real Estate transaction as merely a singular experience with someone. I genuinely care about each and every person with whom I have the opportunity to work. I value communication and my clients' goals are always my first priority. Over the years, I have worked with a lot of investors and developers, and it's really influenced and improved my approach to working with all types of clients. I understand that the here you live can directly impact your quality of life. The home you buy needs to work for you today, and provide value as an investment. I help my clients to make smart decisions; I educate and advocate for them with persistence, patience and care.
One last thing...
I first came to Philadelphia 1999 to study at Moore College of Art and Design. My background is in design, with a decade of experience in the apparel industry. My previous life as a designer has taught me to be a creative thinker. It allows me to partner with my clients to see the potential in a property. Combined with a wealth of experience navigating all of the financial and technical aspects of real estate, I am able to work with clients to turn a house they want into a home they love.
