Your future good friend and fierce negotiator.
What's your favorite client story?
A woman who lived in Fishtown once came to me in a down market and told me she wanted to sell her house because she had a few months left to live and wanted to move closer to her daughter and grandchildren in her final days. She also was very concerned with getting as much money as possible to leave behind to her family. I was able to sell it in several days for full price. While well maintained, there were small things that came up on the inspection. The buyer didn't ask for them all to be addressed but the seller's brother ended up completing the entire list because they felt like it was a proper thank you and came as a complete and utter surprise to us all the morning of settlement. The couple buying the home had broken up the night before and the lender, without letting us know any details to stress anyone out, was able to move the loan into the boyfriend's name and get it settled. It was all a miracle really.
You have a day off in Philly. What do you do?
I love taking my kids on the train to see Christmas Village. First we'd walk through the shops, take in performances and finish with ice skating and some hot cocoa. I'd finish up the evening with an adults only concert at the new Met or the Fillmore and catch a late night bite to eat around Broad Street or Fishtown.
What's the architectural detail your eye always gravitates towards?
Stained glass takes every Victorian to a memorable level.
Favorite community organization.
I'm a fan of community zoning organizations for enabling residents in communities to have a say in how their neighborhoods are developed.
What differentiates you within real estate?
I've bought and sold homes myself, renovated and flipped homes, own a handful of homes as investments and have been doing this for 14 years and counting. I've moved while pregnant, with large dogs, having contingencies. I've done it all and am right there with you, as the calm in your storm. There's no question you can ask me that I haven't heard before. While I love to negotiate, what keeps me in real estate is the connections with people. I love having a part in people creating their future memories and meeting people from all occupations, backgrounds and experiences.
One last thing...
I manage the Brooke + Co team at Space. I'm a former attorney, have been selling real estate since 2005 and hail originally from Rochester, NY. I am a single parent, have two daughters and a rescue dog and I reside in Wynnewood. I was a homeowner in Fishtown for 8 years, W. Germantown for another 8. I'm a Peloton fanatic thanks to a client who introduced me to it!
