Summarize yourself in a tweet.
I have lived in Philadelphia for over 15 years. During that time I have seen this city change so much. I fell in in love with its character and the life it has. I'm excited to be a part of its continuing growth.
What's your favorite client story?
Bringing as much joy to my clients in their new homes as I felt when I bought (and then sold 12 years later) my first home in the city. Our homes are spaces that become a part of us and hold so many great memories. It’s important for me to help my clients find this feeling and excitement in their new space as they start their next chapters.
You have a day off in Philly. What do you do?
You will usually find me vintage shopping, eating at one of the city's amazing vegan restaurants, or most importantly, playing with my adorable son.
What's the architectural detail your eye always gravitates towards?
Design in general. I look at the entire flow and feel of a space. Before becoming a realtor I was a Graphic Designer. I am drawn to any form of design whether it be layouts, interiors, etc. that are appealing to the eye. I know what works well in a space and what can be improved. When renovating homes I also love to keep pieces from the original design and work them in alongside the new space thats created. This city has a ton of history - why not hold on to a little piece of it.
Favorite community organization.
Capitolo Youth Soccer Club. Capitolo Playground is a neighborhood organization in South Philly that offers bilingual Spanish and English youth soccer leagues for children ranging in ages 3-15. I saw my 5 year old son and his teammates grow so much. They started out quiet and shy. When the season was over they had gained confidence, learned coordination, what it is like to be part of a team (helping each other) and had so much fun every week. I also loved the sense of community it brought and the connections I made with the other families in the neighborhood.
What differentiates you within real estate?
I am raising a young child in the city, so I know all the parks, school systems, daycares and family-friendly ammenities. Being able to pass along that kind of first-hand knowledge to my clients with young families enables them to make more confident and informed decisions around their specific needs. Raising young kids in Philadelphia has so much to offer and each neighborhood offers something unique.
One last thing...
I also enjoy traveling all over the world and seeing everything that is out there. Exploring new places pushes me out of my day-to-day comfort zone and helps me to appreciate things. It is also great to learn about other cultures and I always bring back new architecture ideas. There is so much to experience and my goal is to absorb as much as I can.
