What's your favorite client story?

I have a buyer who I've been working with for years. I worked with him on the purchase of his own personal property, in addition to several investment properties. We've spent a lot of time together exploring the city and have become pretty close friends. He's also really bonded with our team. At our first settlement together, he brought our lender a 'Best Friends' necklace. It was a totally warm, hilarious and wonderful gesture. She now wears it to all of his settlements.

You have a day off in Philly. What do you do?

Head to the Wissahickon for a hike with my family

What's the architectural detail your eye always gravitates towards?

I design and build my own properties so I am very attuned to the small details like moldings, architectural salvage and finish. That said, I'm more interested in the overall feel and flow of a property. The natural light and functionality of the layout really affects how the property will be experienced day to day. Great details can't usually compensate for bad light or flow. I also want to make sure the house is well built. The home inspection will catch most of this but the little details can also reveal the quality and attention to detail in the construction of a home.

Favorite community organization.

I am a proud supporter of The Mural Arts Organization. Philadelphia is one of the great cities in the world in terms of public art. I just love that many of the blank walls and sides of buildings in Philadelphia are decorated with the works of world renowned artists, rather than advertisements. It contributes to the truly warm and unique vibe of the city. I have a special appreciation and connection to the organization, since my mother was a Muralist when I was younger. My family is quite involved with The Mural Arts Organization and loves to contribute whatever we can to furthering their mission.

What differentiates you within real estate?

I grew up in Society Hill and live in Fitler Square in a property I designed and built. In addition to representing buyers, sellers and investors, I design, build and sell several of my own properties each year. Almost all of my homes have sold pre-market. Having built so many homes, I have a deep understanding of construction quality and the details that make for a great investment opportunity. I am very effective at pricing a property appropriately and aggressively and pinpointing the intrinsic value and perks for various properties and neighborhoods.
