Exciting news, neighbors! If you weren’t able to make it to last night’s Community Zoning Meeting at Guerin Recreation Center, locally-owned grocery store, Rowhouse Grocery + Lunch, received a unanimous YES vote from the neighborhood!!
Rowhouse Grocery + Lunch, a collaboration of four Newbold residents, is currently in the process of bringing new life to 1713 McKean Street in the historic building which formally housed Abbot’s Alderney Dairy.
The concept for the business will be to bring locally sourced produce and pantry items. Finally! A decent and affordable place within walking distance in Newbold …
The next step is the public hearing held at the Zoning Board for Adjustments is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th at 4:00 pm. So, if you are in support of this exciting new business, come out and vote! After the required permits and variances are in place, the build-out will begin & if everything goes as planned, the plan is to open in the fall or winter of 2016!
