Hey, What about Northwest Philly?

There are some hidden treasures in Philadelphia that people seem to not know about. Northwest Philadelphia is one of them, it is also known as East Falls, Mt Airy, Roxborough, Andorra, Chestnut Hill, and Manayunk. I’ll admit I didn’t know about it either until it was suggested to me by a real estate agent over 15 years ago, and I’ve never looked back.
I have found it to be the best of both worlds; all the space and quiet of the suburbs with all of the amenities of the city. The commute to downtown, whether driving or taking public transportation, is comparable to commuting from South Philadelphia or Fishtown — only I also get the beautiful view from Kelly Drive or Henry Avenue. Northwest Philadelphia is full of trees and backyards, kids playing on tiny unheard-of streets, parking (!!), cute locally-owned shops, supermarkets with wide aisles, and restaurants. If you are on the fence between city and the suburbs, this is the place for you.
